Thanksgiving Food Drive

Our students, their teachers and other school staff organize the collection of food for those in need in the Clarington area through our Thanksgiving Food Drive. The students prepare various announcements and collect donated food. Each classroom also collects items for the food drive. All of the food is then donated to St. Vincent de Paul Society. We are so proud of everyone's generosity.

Remembrance Day

A Remembrance Day service is held in our school gymnasium each year to remember those who sacrificed and those who continue to sacrifice so much for their loved ones and their country. Each year our Gr 5 students are asked to represent our school by laying a wreath at the cenotaph in the heart of downtown Bowmanville.

Christmas Lunch

Each year, the St. Joseph Catholic School Council organizes a Christmas Luncheon. Students are served a delicious Christmas lunch in the St. Joseph Parish basement by parent volunteers. We are so thankful and blessed to have the support of the entire community to bring us together each year to celebrate Christmas in this way.

Christmas Hamper Food and Toy Drive

Each year students support the St. Vincent De Paul Society by bringing in Food Goods, Clothing and Toys for those less fortunate than ourselves. Our students have overwhelmed the St. Vincent De Paul Society each year with their exceptional generosity and support of this initiative.
